Calculators that show the working.

17 calculators: interest and a SIP, a lump sum, a fixed or recurring deposit, a loan payment, dates and working days, a percentage, a tip, a split check, and an adult BMI. Type a number and the result updates on the page. Nothing covers the form: no account, no popup, no extra step between the input and the figure.

Each money tool says whether a deposit lands at the start of the month or the end. Those rules are in how the math works.

The first month, in order

  1. Opening balance

    $10,000.00

    What is already there

  2. Interest this month

    $58.33

Rate ÷ 12, on the opening balance

  3. Deposit

    $200.00

Arrives at the end, so it does not earn yet

  4. Closing balance

    $10,258.33

    The next month starts here

The first month only. The card above is this same rule, run for ten years.

All hubs

The directory lists every calculator. A hub puts a few of them in the order a question is usually asked.

Same habit, two answers

A monthly amount is not one calculation. Where the money lands in the month changes the result, and these pages do not hide that.

End of the month

$10,000.00 to start, then $200.00 at the end of each month, at 7% for 10 years, finishes at $54,713.58. Interest is $20,713.58. That is the compound-interest page. A loan payment uses the same end-of-month timing, in the other direction.

Start of the month

$5,000.00 invested at the start of each month, at 12% for 10 years, finishes at $1,161,695.38. You invested $600,000.00. Growth is $561,695.38. A withdrawal plan takes money out on that same first-of-month clock.

Days from today starts at one date and walks forward or back. Use it for “what day is 90 days from 1 March?”

Days between dates only counts the gap. The order of the two dates does not change the number of days.

Age stops on a birthday. A 29 February birthday moves to 28 February in a year that is not a leap year.

The check at the table

A tip calculator takes one amount. A printed check has three: food, tax, and tip. On $86.00 of food, 8.875% tax is $7.63 and a 20% tip on the food is $17.20. Four people pay $27.71 each. The total is $110.83, which does not divide evenly, so rounding every share up to the next cent collects 1 cent.
